Local Meals on Wheels programs provide daily nutritious meals, nourishing companionship and critical safety checks to America’s home bound seniors. Each donation helps our programs enable seniors to age with independence and dignity in their own homes, where they want to be.
The elderly and disabled home bound are at risk every day of hunger, isolation, and loss of independence. Not to mention that a year of meals costs less than one day in the hospital or a few weeks in a publicly funded nursing home.
Your gift helps us continue our work in the following ways:
- Nutritious Home Delivered Meal Program
- Grocery Shopping and Delivery Program
- Blizzard Bags – Shelf stable food delivered every winter to every client so that if a weather event prohibits delivery, they have something in the pantry.
