Meals, Moments & Meaning

Hello, Friends,

Here's to hoping this finds all of you well and that we've seen the last of winter. I know I can't be the only one who feels like the cold and snow wore out its welcome. This month we have quite a bit of good news to share, so I will get right to it!

Voting has ended for the GBU Foundation Community Grant! With your help, we know that we placed in the top 3 of our community category. That means the minimum we'll receive in April is $2500 and every bit from this opportunity will support our Veterans in Need Meal Program. A tremendous thank you to all who voted - Stay tuned to hear the award amount!

We are launching a new program at Meals on Wheels Erie this spring, called The Friendship Line. Thanks to a generous grant from Meals on Wheels America, we will begin calling interested recipients in April. See below for more information - how to sign yourself or loved one up for this service or how to volunteer.

Registration for Sponsorships and Foursomes are OPEN for the 7th Annual Take a Swing Against Hunger Golf Scramble! The tournament will take place on Monday, September 8th at the Beechwood Golf Club. Please visit www.mowegolfevent.com for all the details or feel free to call the office to speak with me. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds benefit the Veterans in Need Meal Program. We'd love to see you on the links - it's always a good time!

Thank you for being such an integral part of our mission. Together, we’ll continue to make a difference - one meal and one smile at a time. Here’s to another year of compassion and connection!

Warmest Wishes,

Jennifer
